Spooky beats and other treats is a surprise Halloween season bag of candies. One could look at is as a continuation of my short lived fall collection series of which there were only two albums; fall collection 97 and 2005, only this project is sans lyrics. Rodway sparked the idea for this one when he asked me to possibly contribute for a Halloween compilation to which I replied “I’ll do you one better, how about a whole album, instrumental?”. It was agreed upon so I went into the vaults to extract raw beats (you could rap along to these) that had a darker , ominous feel. Many of these were intended for my Tank Gawd alias to rap to. Hey Kurt, I pretty much bit your mid 90s steez on these, but I told you I was going to so… it was open season. Lol. To the fans ; I hope you dig this as it’s a temporary departure from my more typical jazz based efforts but even that is still in there, it’s just silhouetted under moonlight and filtered through leafless trees, conjuring Ichabod Crane vibes.
