Okay, okay, okay, what more can I say? I've kept this one under wraps since I made it in 2005. At the time, I had only done the one Martian Xmas project, and I didn’t want to go in the same direction, yet I wasn't entirely sure what direction TO go in. I spent that fall and early winter vibing and trying to come up with something that FELT seasonal, yet didn't have to be conceptually. There were many more tracks than what is on this album... But they simply did not make the cut. I just didn’t feel strongly about it at the time and December snuck up so fast, that I decided not to release it. Not too long after, the darndest thing happened: I lost all the files due to a computer crash! Oh well, it wasn’t meant to be, I thought. More time passed and one day out of the blue, maybe sometime around 2007, a super fan told me that he had been enjoying Martian Xmas 2005 and wondered why I didn’t drop it. "YOU HAVE IT?" I asked. He did indeed, somehow and someway, I am not sure EXACTLY how it had leaked onto the internets and had been traded between a small circle of people. I don't remember ever uploading it for anyone. Anyhow, I asked him to send me what he had, and sure enough there were all the tracks intended for the project plus some extra stuff. I went through it all, but still didn't feel it was worthy of release. Every year, I have debated putting it out and have had way too many people ask about it...so now I am granting it the light of day. Take it how you want it. I hope it completes a void for those who are really stoked on the Martian series and desired to have it. Torcharoons unite and help me fight the good fight. Thanks again to URBNET for releasing this double whammy that includes Martian Xmas 2015. I'm coming on the world and it feels exquisite.
